Getting out from the Station
This was a small section of track to see if we would go ahead and replace all the track

This was the first phase of the replacement track. We started at the station and just through the tunnel. This was a test to make sure the track would be suitable for the further phase replacement of the track around the site. Track panels were made, you can see then by the side before the tunnel. Each panel has three rails on them to accommodate 5 inch and 7 1/4 inch gauge locomotives. We have a rail bending machine to set the track with the correct radius. This can be see in later photos.
