23rd Sunday AGM 30th Sunday

Sunday 30th

Is summer really here at last. Lots of members doing there bit more for the club.  Dave, Steve, and crew were looking at the track with bars of steel in hand. The lawn mower was out been used slowly at first L plates a must at the start, but soon ditched them. Bob had a steam test on his loco. Mark was getting ready to paint a bit more of the L&B loco. My bit of welding was done to the right, a new welding table to save our backs welding.

Sunday 23rd AGM

AGM day today. There was some work been done in the morning by a few members. Not a busy a AGM steam up as we have in the past years. The L&B was pulled out of the work area for a photo section.

Sunday 16th Fathers Day

Fathers day hence been very quite at the club today. Len was having a boiler checked by Mark. Peter was filling in a  step to make a slope for easy of walking on the high level track platform. I was asked to weld the rails on to the new trolley which we had made. In the lathe chuck is a L&B window ring been turned by Brian. Ray bought a box of bits and some tubes and he has no loco?

Sunday 9th

A sunny Sunday morning with one sharp shower of rain which made us tidy up fast, well almost tidy up. It stopped as fast as it started to rain.  Janice was busy gardening. Simon asked if he could have ago at some welding. Dave with Rays  help got the bending rolls out to bend some rail.

Janice busy trying to hide.

Simon having a go at welding and did a wonderful job.

Have you got a penny for the loo?

Sunday 2nd Erewash Valley and Steam Up

The Erewash Valley club visited us again along with our members they had a steam up and a bacon & egg cob. There was a shower or 2 of rain but this did not dampen the sprits. Not as many members visiting this year as in past years.

The lawn mower getting close to a test run.

And there's me thinking they had dug a hole to put all that soil in.
